American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure 2015


THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION

The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading 501(C)3 nonprofit charity fighting against diabetes and its deadly consequences.

Nearly 29 million children and adults in this country are diagnosed with diabetes, so the mission we have is an urgent one. Everything we do forms the underpinning for that mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
Stop Diabetes: Join the movement to end the devastating toll that diabetes takes on millions of individuals and families across our nation. It inspires and mobilizes the general public, volunteers, donors, corporations and the scientific and medical communities to rally around our cause and our call to "share, act, learn and give." My Fitness Instructor Journey - Les Mills Certified - Body Flow

WOOHOO!  I'm finally Les Mills certified as of June 2014!!  Wow! I did a lot of practicing, team teaching and created a taping of myself instructing a class.  I'm so glad to announce I'm certified to teach at Gold's Gym.  Now, I have my own Body Flow class on Thursday's @ 6:30pm, Gold's Gym in Largo, MD.   After two and a half month's of frequent subbing for other instructors classes,  I've proven myself.  Now to get nationally certified!!!!!

My FitHealthySoul Avocado Banana Smoothie

I don't know about about you but I LOVE AVOCADO with everything.  I even love avocado in my smoothie.  Here is one of my favorite smoothies to make and drink plus the tastes GREAT!
This Avocado Banana Smoothie is packed with nutrients to give you an extra energy boost! It’s only 3 ingredients with additional options and, like most of my recipes, super simple.

INGREDIENTS

1/4-1/2 cup of Almond/Coconut Milk or water
1 Half of an Avocado (ripe)
1 half of a Banana
1 half scoop Whey Protein (organic) optional
2 Tbsp or to taste Agave Nectar or Honey optional


Instruction:  Place a banana, an avocado (pitted, of course), 1/4-1/3 cup of milk of you choice, whey protein, and Agave or Honey into a blender, then blend. I like my smoothie chilled in the freezer for about 10 minutes before serving. Another option would be to use a frozen banana instead of room temperature.

This smoothie cab be eaten with a spoon if you made your smoothie think or  a straw;  it’s yummy , filling and perfect for an afternoon snack.  ENJOY!
